AUNEGE invites its members to use this conversational AI tool to support teachers in bringing the case-based method to life
Usage
Context
Originally designed to enable students to engage in dialogue with a virtual entrepreneur with the aim of developing their entrepreneurial skills in diagnosis and recommendation, the tool can also be used in other contexts involving dialogue with a virtual interlocutor, or even several virtual interlocutors. It can be used for exchanges in French or in other languages.
Authentification
You can log in by clicking below, but to avoid AUNEGE having to create accounts manually, it is preferable to use an activity from any Moodle platform at a member university, which has been previously identified by AUNEGE.Create a topic
Teachers who wish to do so must submit a request to AUNEGE (or to their department’s TIPS liaison) to obtain the status of question creator (remembering to specify their university and department).They will then be able to create as many questions as they wish and use them with their students.

Tests and limits
TIPS has been in use since 2023 in a wide range of situations, including in learning and assessment scenarios involving cohorts of 150 students. Despite all this testing, it is unfortunately still possible to encounter software bugs. Neither AUNEGE nor the tool’s developers are able to provide high-availability support.Since May 2025, the generative AI infrastructure of the ILaaS consortium (a generative AI that is trustworthy, robust, ethical, and minimalist) has been recommended in place of that of OpenAI (the company behind ChatGPT).
Data is stored on this application for a maximum of 5 years.
There is a charge for using the API that enables interaction with the generative AI infrastructure. The costs remain very affordable : The initial trials carried out with students in 2023/2024 by the authors resulted in a total cost of less than $10. AUNEGE offers member universities the opportunity to use the tool within reasonable limits : In addition to a monthly fee of $20, AUNEGE reserves the right to request an additional financial contribution from the member university.
TIPS Relay
It is possible to designate one or more TIPS coordinators per module. This coordinator may be an educational engineer or a teacher who wishes to share their experience.The liaison can:
- grant creator or TIPS liaison rights to another user of the component,
- manage the accounts of the component’s users,
- access all topics (as well as associated conversations) created within the component in order to provide the best possible support to its users.
